How long will my commissioned portrait take to be dispatched?

You can find the current lead time for commissioned portraits on the Commissions page. Please note that lead time is based on the date of agreement of your portrait image, not on the date of your order.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

UK orders: 5-14 days depending on item purchased.

International orders: 7-14 days depending on item purchased and delivery location.

Delivery timescales are estimated, and you should allow up to 28 days for your order to arrive. Please refer to the Delivery page for full details, including pricing and shipping methods.

Please allow 28 working days after your dispatch confirmation, in case of postal delays during busy periods. After this time please get in touch, including your order number in your message.

What packaging do you use?

I don't cut corners when packaging is concerned. The safe arrival of your new Art work comes first.

You may return any item for a refund (excluding shipping costs) within 30 days of the date/time your order was placed. Commissions

Do you do commissions?

Yes. I offer pet commission watercolours – you can find full details about ordering a commission, along with examples of commissioned paintings, on my Commissions page.

I am having trouble uploading images, can I send them to you another way?

Yes. Just complete your order without the images and either reply to the confirmation email me with your photographs attached or email them directly to me, including your order number in your message.

My images don’t meet your requirements e.g. my pet is far away, there is pixilation – what should I do?

I need clear, high resolution images so that I can create a true likeness of your pet. If your existing images do not meet the requirements, I would advise taking some new photographs using the image guidelines provided on the Commissions page. If your portrait is to celebrate a deceased pet, please send a selection of the most suitable images you have and I will help you select the best option.

What sort of paints and paper do you use for your commissioned paintings?

I use professional grade watercolour paints and premium quality 500gsm watercolour paper.

Can I have my commission framed?

I do not offer framing as part of my service. Your commissioned watercolour will arrive securely flat-packed, unmounted and unframed. This means you can choose the perfect frame for your painting when it arrives.

How long will it take for my commissioned portrait to arrive?

You can find the current lead time for portraits on the Commissions page. Once completed, your commission will be posted via Royal Mail Signed delivery, with an estimated delivery time of 5-10 working days.

I would like my commission delivered quicker than the stated lead time, is this possible?

The commission process takes time, and my lead times are based on my current calendar of work. Under some circumstances I am able to provide a priority service, which is offered at the additional charge of £35 per painting. If you would like to discuss this option please get in touch. Please note: priority service is available at a strictly limited rate, so I am not always able to accommodate these requests. I am unable to offer priority service for Christmas orders after 1 October.

Your commission page only offers two sizes – are you able to do larger paintings or paintings of different dimensions?

I’ve found that pet portraits work best at 12 x 16.5 inches and smaller. If you are looking for a painting at specific dimensions, or would like to discuss a larger painting, please contact me with your requirements. For best results, I would always suggest that anything larger than 12 x 16.5 inches is for multiple pets only. Ultimately it is important that you receive a high-quality watercolour that looks great – so I will only agree to larger paintings that I am confident will deliver fantastic results.

Who owns the copyright of your portrait commission paintings?

As is the norm with any work of art, the copyright automatically remains with myself, the creator.

I may, at my own discretion, choose to make them commercially available as reprints on my website.

Whilst I retain full image rights on the portraits I produce, I am happy for my customers to use the image of their purchased artwork for any non-commercial purposes (sharing on facebook, instagram, etc). Once you’ve paid for your portrait you are welcome to display it on social media. I would be grateful if you could credit myself as the artist.
